Who is the Master?

Hello friends……….I thought of going for some psychological topics to discuss. To start with hmmm…………people believe that we all are slaves of something in the world. Some may be slave to bucks, power, food, sleep, war, pain, fear, emotions, feelings and love. It’s quite common to all living thing in the world to be salve to something/someone. Did you ever felt that you are slave of yourself; have to noticed that something within you ruling you, Strange things making you to do what you don’t. So how is the master in you and who’s slave are you.

Let’s take a simple example to explain things……….When you are asked to sit in a chair, which has a sharp nail tip waiting for you to prick you. Now you are forced to sit in it for some times so that you will win something precious to you. The moment you sit on the nail you will adjust yourself to have minimum pain caused by the prick. You will sit in a position so that you don’t fell much pain. Before you adjust yourself you will go in a series of positions to find the suitable position. Even after you got into a suitable position you won’t be comfortable in sitting in the chair. When the threshold of your resistance reaches you start to get away from the chair/ stand up. That’s it.

In this situation, it clearly explains that you have become slave not only to the precious thing but became slave to the master within you. So who is the master here? When you go deep in the series of action that you performed while sitting in the chair, we can have 2 competitors for the Master position- Brain and Body. The brain became master of the body when you are making yourself to do an action which your body doesn’t accept/resist. But the brain makes you to sit on the chair by controlling the body and became the master of you. As per the action continues, your brain lose its control of the body at a particular point where the body master the brain by having that the body has lost its resistance to the pain and it should be moved. The moment you find a suitable position with minimum pain, the body analyses the condition and after the threshold is reached, it takes over the brain and gains the position of the Masters of master (master of brain).

Now I wanna to put forth a question that “Who is your Master within you?” can we able to take hold of any of the master? Yes we can, but the master which will have some flexibility is the BRAIN. The body is a rigid master with no adjustment. You can practice your brain in such a way that it should feel that you are not in pain like oxyimoron Falling in love. This can be done practically by what the sadhu did to control the body. I want to make a little correction, make fool of the brain to master and intelligent body to serve.

“Try to control your body you will win things, but when you take hold your mind you can win your body”

DREAM

Hi guys.............I am back with a new and mysterious topic of the history of science and mankind. It’s DREAM? What dream is? why do we get dream? Where the dream originates? Does dreams are messages? Let’s find out the mysterious of dream.

But before going into the land of dream. I wanna you to know about sleep, because its the only place where you can have dream. Actually you can get dream from lot of place like class room, study room, lecture hall, seminar hall............But when you get through the door of sleep you enter the land of sleep. Most people think we need sleep for physical and mental rest. However, we’re physically and mentally quite active during sleep. If the only benefit of sleeping was physical rest, we could practice deep relaxation and not need to sleep. So, why do we spend nearly one third of our lives sleeping? In a sense, we sleep to dream. About three times each night we cycle through distinct stages of sleep. so what are the stages of sleep?

Stage One: Drowsiness. This is when you are still awake but starting to relax and your eyes are closed. If someone were to rouse you from this stage, you would’t think you had any sleep. Stage Two: Light sleep. This is when you have periods of muscle relaxation and spontaneous muscle activity. Your temperature and heart rate decrease in preparation for deep sleep. Stage Three: Deep sleep. Your brain waves slow down. Stage Four: Deep sleep. This is similar to stage three, except more intensified. Non-REM Sleep: This is when your body will go through all four stages of sleep again, a few minutes each stage. REM Sleep: Known as rapid eye movement sleep, your eyes move rapidly from side to side. Your heart rate, brain waves and breathing speed up and your muscles may twitch, although you will be essentially paralyzed. You dream during this stage of sleep and it is because of this that the muscle paralysis occurs. It prevents you from acting out your dreams and injuring yourself in your sleep.

Now see, what dream is? Dreams are a succession of images, ideas, emotions and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The scientific study of dreams is known as oneirology. Dreams have also been described physiologically as a response to neural processes during sleep; psychologically as reflections of the subconscious; and spiritually as messages from gods, the deceased, predictions of the future, or from the Soul.

Started with dream but need to know about REM, Neurology of brain in sleep, Stages of Dream and Is dream colored/Black and white?

Rapid eye movement sleep (REM sleep) is a normal stage of sleep characterized by the rapid movement of the eyes. REM sleep is classified into two categories: tonic and phasic. REM sleep in adult humans typically occupies 20–25% of total sleep, about 90–120 minutes of a night's sleep. During a normal night of sleep, humans usually experience about four or five periods of REM sleep; they are quite short at the beginning of the night and longer toward the end. Many animals and some people tend to wake, or experience a period of very light sleep, for a short time immediately after a bout of REM. The relative amount of REM sleep varies considerably with age. A newborn baby spends more than 80% of total sleep time in REM. During REM, the activity of the brain's neurons is quite similar to that during waking hours; for this reason, the REM-sleep stage may be called paradoxical sleep. Sleep aids the process by which creativity forms associative elements into new combinations that are useful or meet some requirement. This occurs in REM sleep rather than in NREM sleep. Rather than being due to memory processes, this has been attributed to changes during REM sleep in cholinergic and noradrenergic neuromodulation. During REM sleep high levels of acetylcholine in the hippocampus suppress feedback from hippocampus to the neocortex, and lower levels of acetylcholine and norepinephrine in the neocortex encourage the spread of associational activity within neocortical areas without control from the hippocampus. This is in contrast to waking consciousness, where higher levels of norepinephrine and acetylcholine inhibit recurrent connections in the neocortex. REM sleep through this process adds creativity by allowing "neocortical structures to reorganize associative hierarchies, in which information from the hippocampus would be reinterpreted in relation to previous semantic representations or nodes. Physiologically, certain neurons in the brain stem, known as REM sleep-on cells, (located in the pontine tegmentum), are particularly active during REM sleep, and are probably responsible for its occurrence. The release of certain neurotransmitters, the monoamines (norepinephrine, serotonin and histamine), is completely shut down during REM. This causes REM atonia, a state in which the motor neurons are not stimulated and thus the body's muscles do not move. Lack of such REM atonia causes REM behavior disorder; sufferers act out the movements occurring in their dreams.

watch out for the future post to know the details of dream and how to interpret you dream.

ekadhikena purvena of 1/9,1/19,1/29,1/39....... astounding idea vedic math

The Vedic Mathematics way : by using the Sutra ekadhiken Purvena which means "by one more than the previous one" and can be used when the denominator ends in 9. so with the help of this numbers of the form 1/9,1/19,1/29,1/39.............. can be computed Guys just enter any number which has unit digit 9 for example if you type 6199 ,it will calculate 1/6199.
for e.g if you type 19 it will calculate 1/19
1/19=0.052631578947368421052631578947368421052631...................
after 18 digits the numbers are repeated.
similarly for
1/29=0.03448275862068965517241379310344827586206896551724137931034482........
after 28 digits the numbers are repeated.
but for
1/39=0.0256410256410256410256...................
after 6 digits the numbers are repeated.
and for
1/49=0.0204081632653061224489795918367346938775510204081632.........
after 42 digits the numbers are repeated.
and for
1/1729=0.00057836899942163100057836899942163100057836..................
after 18 digits the numbers are repeated
but for bigger numbers you can't check in calculator and in those case this program may help you
http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=13414&lngWId=3
Note:
After downloading only two simple modifications are required ,the first one is
remove these four lines
if(n==49)

y=21;

if(n==289)

y=136;

and replace it by
if((n==49)||(n==289)||(n==2209)||(n==4489)||(n=9409))

y=(sqrt(n)*((sqrt(n)-1)))/2;

and in order to use the sqrt function include the header file
#include<math.h>
so that program will work flawlessly
but any number of the above form will repeat after certain digits but some numbers will take more digits whereas some will take less
for e.g if you give 99 it will display 0.101 (i.e it will repeat after 3 digits itself)
whereas if you give 5789 see after how many digits it will repeat
After 2478 digits the same digits repeats
so answer(recurring decimal) is 0.000172741406115045776472620487130765244429089

A Superb Example of Learning-another nice article which I came across

Madan Mohan Malaviya was trying to build a good university; he had to overcome many difficulties and barriers. He worked with determination to start the university. There was a fund crisis; but he did not get discouraged. He went from town to town, met many rich people and traders to collect donations and contributions.

He went to the Nizam of Hyderabad to request him for funds. The Nizam was furious, 'How dare you come to me for funds... that too for a Hindu university? He roared with anger and took off his footwear and flung it at Malviya. Malviya picked up the footwear and left silently.

He came directly to the market place and began to auction the footwear. As it was the Nizam's footwear, many came forward to buy it. The price went up. When Nizam heard of this, he became uneasy. He thought it would be an insult if his footwear were to be bought by someone for a pittance. So he sent one of his attendants with the instruction, 'Buy that footwear no matter what the bidding price be!' Thus, Malaviya managed to sell the Nizam's own footwear to him, for a huge amount. He used that money to build the Banaras Hindu University.

Moral: It is not what you have, but it is how you use what you have that makes the difference in your life.

judge yourself-a nice story which I came across

Once upon a time there was a painter who had just completed his course. He took 3 days and painted beautiful scenery. He wanted people's opinion about his caliber and painting skills.

He put his creation at a busy street-crossing. And just down below aboard which read -"I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. Please put a cross wherever you see a mistake."

While he came back in the evening to collect his painting he was completely shattered to see that whole canvass was filled with Xs (crosses) and some people had even written their comments on the painting.

Disheartened and broken completely he ran to his master's place and burst into tears.
This young artist was breathing heavily and master heard him saying"I'm useless and if this is what I have learnt to paint I'm not worth becoming a painter. People have rejected me completely. I feel like dying"

Master smiled and suggested "My Son, I will prove that you are a great artist and have learnt flawless painting. Do as I say without questioning it. It WILL work."

Young artist reluctantly agreed and two days later early morning he presented a replica of his earlier painting to his master. Master took that gracefully and smiled.

"Come with me." master said.

They reached the same street-square early morning and displayed the same painting exactly at the same place. Now master took out another board which read -"Gentlemen, I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. I have put a box with colors and brushes just below. Please do a favor. If you see a mistake, kindly pick up the brush and correct it."

Master and disciple walked back home.

They both visited the place same evening. Young painter was surprised to see that actually there was not a single correction done so far. Next day again they visited and found painting remained untouched. They say the painting was kept there for a month for no correction came in!

Moral of the story:
It is easier to criticize, but DIFFICULT TO IMPROVE!

So don't get carried away or judge yourself by someone else's criticism and feel depressed...

JUDGE YOURSELF! YOU ARE YOUR BEST JUDGE!!!
