A young man wished to marry the farmer's beautiful daughter. He went to the farmer to ask his permission.

The farmer looked at him and said, "Son, go stand out in that field. I'm going to release three bulls, one at a time. If you can catch the tail of any one of the three bulls, you can marry my daughter."

The young man stood in the field awaiting the first bull. The barn door opened and out came the biggest, meanest looking bull he had ever seen. He decided that one of the next bulls had to be a better choice than this one, so he ran over to the side and let the bull pass through.

The barn door opened again. Unbelievable He had never seen anything so big and fierce in his life. It stood pawing the ground, it eyed him. Whatever the next bull was like, it had to be a better choice than this one he thought. He ran to the fence and let the bull pass through.

The door opened a third time. A smile came across his face. This was the weakest bull he had ever seen. This one was his bull, he said to himself. As the bull came running by, he positioned himself just right and jumped at just the exact moment. He threw his hands to grab..... But alas..... The bull had no tail.

Moral : Life is full of opportunities. Always grab the first one..

A true story - very shocking

This is a real story of a young college girl who passed away last month in Chandigarh.

Her name was Priya. She was hit by a truck.

She was working in a call center. She had a boy friend named Shankar.

Both of them were true lovers. They always talked on the phone.

You would never found her without handphone. In fact she also changed her cell connection from Airtel to Hutch, so that both of them can be on the same network, and save on the cost.
She used to spend half of the day talking with shankar.
Priya's family knew about their relationship. . Shankar was very close to Priya's family as well. (Just imagine their love) .
Before she passed away she always told her friends 'If I pass away please burn me with my handphone' she also said the same thing to her parents.
After her death, people cudnt carry her body, A lot of them tried to do so,but still cant. Everybody had tried to carry the body, the results were the same.
Eventually, they called a person known to one of their neighbours, who can speak with the soul of dead person and who was a friend of her father.
He took a stick and started speaking to himself slowly.
After a few minutes, he said 'this girl misses something here.' Then her friends told that person about her intentions to burn her with her phone.

He then opened the grave box and place her phone and sim card inside the casket. After that they tried to carry the body. It was then moved easily and they then carried her into the van.

All of us were shocked. Priya's parents did not inform Shankar that Priya had passed away..

After 2 weeks Shankar called Priya's mom.....

Shankar :.....'Aunty, I'm coming home today. Cook something nice for me.

Don't tell Priya that I'm coming home today, I wanna surprise her.'

Her mother replied..... 'You come home first, I wanna tell you something very important.'

After he came, they told him the truth about Priya.

Shankar thinks that they were playing a fool. He was laughing and said 'don't try to fool me - tell Priya to come out, i have a gift for her. Please stop this nonsense'.

Then they show him the original death certificate to him.
They gave him proof to make him believe. (Shankar started to sweat) He said... 'Its not true. We spoke yesterday.. She still calls me.

Shankar was shaking.
Suddenly, Shankar's phone rang. 'see this is from Priya, see this....' he showed the phone to priya's family. all of them told him to answer. he talked using the loudspeaker mode.

All of them heard his conversation.
Loud and clear, no cross lines, no humming.
It is the actual voice of Priya & there is no way others could use her sim card since it is nailed inside the grave box

They were so shocked and asked for the same person's
(who can speak with the soul of deal persons) help again. He brought his master to solve this matter.

The Missing Cat
A small story:

Long ago, (Not so long ago) there was a Guruji who had few students. He used to take his classes under a tree. One day when he was taking class there was a Cat roaming around that area disturbing the concentration of students.

So the Guruji decided to tie that cat to a near by tree and gave it some milk to drink so that it would keep quite. The next day Guruji had to visit some other place. So he asked one of his senior students to handle that day's classes.

As per the words of Guruji, that senior student was ready to take the class. But he seemed to be disturbed and worried. His friends asked him the reasons. And he replied: " I am ready to take the class. But what to do? The cat is missing. Our Guruji used to tie the cat to that tree while he was taking the classes. So i also need to follow the same thing. But to my worry the Cat is Missing".

Most of our modern day activities are like this only. We have forgotten the soul of the concepts and simply sticking to the meaningless rituals.

In studies, the examinations are to check whether you have understood the ideas or not. But today most of us study only for the exams.

In research, the publications are outcome of solid research works. But today lots and lots of cook-up of data is happeneing around. I would not call these things research.

Even in marriage/ other religious activities you can observe few rituals being followed forgetting the cream of truth behind it.

These are nothing more than searching for the missing cat in our story.

Auto Shutdown PC With Timer-no extra software required

Step 1:

Right click on your desktop and choose "New=>shortcuts".

Step 2:

In the box that says "Type the location of the shortcut",
type in "shutdown -s -t 3600" without the quotation marks and click next.

Note: 3600 are the amount of seconds before your computer shuts down. So , 60secs*60mins=3600secs.

Step 3:

Make up a name for the shortcut and you're done.
You can change the icon by right clicking=>properities=>change icon=>browse.

To abort

To make an abort key to stop the shutdown timer just create another shortcut and make
the "location of the shortcut" to " shutdown -a" without the quotes.

'God has always been planning things for me'


Naga Naresh Karutura has just passed out of IIT Madras in Computer Science and has joined Google in Bangalore.

You may ask, what's so special about this 21-year-old when there are hundreds of students passing out from various IITs and joining big companies like Google?

Naresh is special. His parents are illiterate. He has no legs and moves around in his powered wheel chair. (In fact, when I could not locate his lab, he told me over the mobile phone, 'I will come and pick you up'. And in no time, he was there to guide me)

Ever smiling, optimistic and full of spirit; that is Naresh. He says, "God has always been planning things for me. That is why I feel I am lucky."

Childhood in a village

I spent the first seven years of my life in Teeparru, a small village in Andhra Pradesh, on the banks of the river Godavari. My father Prasad was a lorry driver and my mother Kumari, a house wife. Though they were illiterate, my parents instilled in me and my elder sister (Sirisha) the importance of studying.

Looking back, one thing that surprises me now is the way my father taught me when I was in the 1st and 2nd standards. My father would ask me questions from the text book, and I would answer them. At that time, I didn't know he could not read or write but to make me happy, he helped me in my studies!

Another memory that doesn't go away is the floods in the village and how I was carried on top of a buffalo by my uncle. I also remember plucking fruits from a tree that was full of thorns.

I used to be very naughty, running around and playing all the time with my friends.. I used to get a lot of scolding for disturbing the elders who slept in the afternoon. The moment they started scolding, I would run away to the fields!

I also remember finishing my school work fast in class and sleeping on the teacher's lap!

January 11, 1993, the fateful day

On the January 11, 1993 when we had the sankranti holidays, my mother took my sister and me to a nearby village for a family function. From there we were to go with our grandmother to our native place. But my grandmother did not come there. As there were no buses that day, my mother took a lift in my father's friend's lorry. As there were many people in the lorry, he made me sit next to him, close to the door.

It was my fault; I fiddled with the door latch and it opened wide throwing me out. As I fell, my legs got cut by the iron rods protruding from the lorry. Nothing happened to me except scratches on my legs.

The accident had happened just in front of a big private hospital but they refused to treat me saying it was an accident case. Then a police constable who was passing by took us to a government hospital.

First I underwent an operation as my small intestine got twisted. The doctors also bandaged my legs. I was there for a week. When the doctors found that gangrene had developed and it had reached up to my knees, they asked my father to take me to a district hospital. There, the doctors scolded my parents a lot for neglecting the wounds and allowing the gangrene to develop. But what could my ignorant parents do?

In no time, both my legs were amputated up to the hips.

I remember waking up and asking my mother, where are my legs? I also remember that my mother cried when I asked the question. I was in the hospital for three months.

Life without legs

I don't think my life changed dramatically after I lost both my legs. Because all at home were doting on me, I was enjoying all the attention rather than pitying myself. I was happy that I got a lot of fruits and biscuits.

'I never wallowed in self-pity'

The day I reached my village, my house was flooded with curious people; all of them wanted to know how a boy without legs looked. But I was not bothered; I was happy to see so many of them coming to see me, especially my friends!
All my friends saw to it that I was part of all the games they played; they carried me everywhere.

God's hand

I believe in God. I believe in destiny. I feel he plans everything for you. If not for the accident, we would not have moved from the village to Tanuku, a town. There I joined a missionary school, and my father built a house next to the school. Till the tenth standard, I studied in that school.

If I had continued in Teeparu, I may not have studied after the 10th. I may have started working as a farmer or someone like that after my studies. I am sure God had other plans for me.

My sister, my friend

When the school was about to reopen, my parents moved from Teeparu to Tanuku, a town, and admitted both of us in a Missionary school. They decided to put my sister also in the same class though she is two years older. They thought she could take care of me if both of us were in the same class. My sister never complained.

She would be there for everything. Many of my friends used to tell me, you are so lucky to have such a loving sister. There are many who do not care for their siblings.

She carried me in the school for a few years and after a while, my friends took over the task. When I got the tricycle, my sister used to push me around in the school.

My life, I would say, was normal, as everyone treated me like a normal kid. I never wallowed in self-pity. I was a happy boy and competed with others to be on top and the others also looked at me as a competitor.

Inspiration

I was inspired by two people when in school; my Maths teacher Pramod Lal who encouraged me to participate in various local talent tests, and a brilliant boy called Chowdhary, who was my senior.

When I came to know that he had joined Gowtham Junior College to prepare for IIT-JEE, it became my dream too. I was school first in 10th scoring 542/600.

Because I topped in the state exams, Gowtham Junior College waived the fee for me. Pramod Sir's recommendation also helped. The fee was around Rs 50,000 per year, which my parents could never afford.

Moving to a residential school

Living in a residential school was a big change for me because till then my life centred around home and school and I had my parents and sister to take care of all my needs. It was the first time that I was interacting with society. It took one year for me to adjust to the new life.

There, my inspiration was a boy called K K S Bhaskar who was in the top 10 in IIT-JEE exams. He used to come to our school to encourage us. Though my parents didn't know anything about Gowtham Junior School or IIT, they always saw to it that I was encouraged in whatever I wanted to do.. If the results were good, they would praise me to the skies and if bad, they would try to see something good in that. They did not want me to feel bad.

They are such wonderful supportive parents.

Life at IIT- Madras

Though my overall rank in the IIT-JEE was not that great (992), I was 4th in the physically handicapped category. So, I joined IIT, Madras to study Computer Science.

Here, my role model was Karthik who was also my senior in school. I looked up to him during my years at IIT- Madras.

He had asked for attached bathrooms for those with special needs before I came here itself. So, when I came here, the room had attached bath. He used to help me and guide me a lot when I was here.

I evolved as a person in these four years, both academically and personally. It has been a great experience studying here. The people I was interacting with were so brilliant that I felt privileged to sit along with them in the class. Just by speaking to my lab mates, I gained a lot..

'There are more good people in society than bad ones'

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to Prof Pandurangan and all my lab mates; all were simply great. I was sent to Boston along with four others for our internship by Prof Pandurangan. It was a great experience.

Joining Google R&D

I did not want to pursue PhD as I wanted my parents to take rest now.

Morgan Stanley selected me first but I preferred Google because I wanted to work in pure computer science, algorithms and game theory.

I am lucky

Do you know why I say I am lucky?

I get help from total strangers without me asking for it. Once after my second year at IIT, I with some of my friends was travelling in a train for a conference. We met a kind gentleman called Sundar in the train, and he has been taking care of my hostel fees from then on.

I have to mention about Jaipur foot. I had Jaipur foot when I was in 3rd standard. After two years, I stopped using them. As I had almost no stems on my legs, it was very tough to tie them to the body. I found walking with Jaipur foot very, very slow. Sitting also was a problem. I found my tricycle faster because I am one guy who wants to do things faster.

One great thing about the hospital is, they don't think their role ends by just fixing the Jaipur foot; they arrange for livelihood for all. They asked me what help I needed from them. I told them at that time, if I got into an IIT, I needed financial help from them. So, from the day I joined IIT, Madras, my fees were taken care of by them. So, my education at the IIT was never a burden on my parents and they could take care of my sister's Nursing studies.

Surprise awaited me at IIT

After my first year, when I went home, two things happened here at the Institute without my knowledge.

I got a letter from my department that they had arranged a lift and ramps at the department for me. It also said that if I came a bit early and checked whether it met with my requirements, it would be good.

Second surprise was, the Dean, Prof Idichandy and the Students General Secretary, Prasad had located a place that sold powered wheel chairs. The cost was Rs 55,000. What they did was, they did not buy the wheel chair; they gave me the money so that the wheel chair belonged to me and not the institute.

My life changed after that. I felt free and independent.

That's why I say I am lucky. God has planned things for me and takes care of me at every step.

The world is full of good people

I also feel if you are motivated and show some initiative, people around you will always help you. I also feel there are more good people in society than bad ones. I want all those who read this to feel that if Naresh can achieve something in life, you can too. (via : email)

According to me there are three types of people are in the world.
first one don't care about anything that others say
second one knows the trick or tips about which is occuring unique but doesn't have
sound knowledge about them
They won't able to answer the question
why is it so? what is the actual thing happening behind them?
Third people who have knowledge about them knows the logic behind them.
These people are nothing but great mathematicians,great management fellows and great scientists

I don't want to talk about the first category because they won't care about anything.
2nd category people know this.But it is not assured that they know the logic.
But the third category people know this why is it so
make that triangle in the form of envelope letter by folding .Now you can notice all the three angles of a
triangle coincide to form angle of a line which is 180 degrees.There are so many ways are there.That also known only to third category people.
So what I want to conclude is that if you think that your effort should be fruitful don't spend your energy in front of first category people who doesn't
have knowledge about what you are saying.

Activation through email in order to enter into the database (with detailed explanation for newbies)



How to proceed with this program
First of all put this program under httdocs if you are using xampp,Which is the root directory.
Main theme
There is file called members.php will be there.In order to view the contents of the data ,the user has to register into the database.As soon as Registering into the database they will get an activation code in their gmail account .If they correctly type their activation code they will be added to the database and now they are able to login and view members.php
Now step by step proceure to execute the program
Actually I know how much trouble you might have encountered when you started sending email through php.So I will solve this problem by detailed explanation.
Ok let us start with the procedure
Actually i have divided the program into modules so you will able to understood the concepts easily.
Actually if you extracted the rar in httdocs folder you will get the following files and a folder

Now the execution steps
step 1:
first of all create the newuser in phpmyadmin and give the username and password.Check all the privelleges and check whether you have checked all the privilleges and now type that username and password into the module.php
and now you can load this file .If you have done everything correctly you will get a blank white screen.
If you got an error like access denied you might have entered the incorrect username or password.
step 2:
now you can load the creation.php .what this file will do?.
This file will just create an database named hello and table named dodo in that database .
If you done everything correctly will get the message that database and table has been created.You can also check that by viewing phpMyAdmin.
step 3:
now if you try to execute the members.php contents,you can't able to view the contents it will ask you to login.
since no members will be there in the database that has been just created by us.
In order to add the members we need to register .
So the third file that you have to execute is register.php .Now you will get a form screen and now tyoe the username and password and click Register you will get an activation code in your email right now .and now you will be redirected to haha.php
which will ask you to type your activation code that has been sent to your email and if you typed it correctly you will be added to the database .You can check that in phpMyAdmin.
Things to be noted before executing the register.php.
This is the important note .If you didn't follow this you will not get an activation code in your email.
Actually in order to send an email through php ,you need to configure your mail server.That will be taken phpmailer library which will be taken care by phpgmailer folder and hahaha.php
First before executing register.php ,open haha.php
and type your username and password from which you want to send your gmail
and then type the recepients of your gmail id .

step 4:
now you can execute the check.php and enter the username and password which you have registered just now and you can now able to view the contents of members.php

how to reload grub of linux after reinstalling xp



generally the user has to install windows and then they should install linux.when they install linux the windows bootloader will be overwritten by linux bootloader grub. when suddenly ur xp is affected or corrupted u will reinstall xp at that time linux os will be there (eg.ubuntu)but only that bootloader grub will disappear so u are not able to boot in linux if u want to boot in linux u have to just reload the grub using the livecd with the help of the following commands
You need to know this means that it can’t find the grub.conf file.

1. Boot your computer up with Ubuntu CD

2. Open a terminal window or switch to a tty.

3. Go SuperUser (that is, type “sudo -s”). Enter root passwords as necessary.

4. Type “grub”

5. Type “find /boot/grub/stage1″. You’ll get a response like “(hd0,1)”.

Use whatever your computer spits out for the following lines.

6. Type “root (hd0,1)”, or whatever your hard disk + boot partition numbers are for Ubuntu.

7. Type “setup (hd0)”, to install GRUB to MBR, or “setup (hd0,1)” or whatever your hard disk + partition nr is, to install GRUB to a partition.

8. Quit grub by typing “quit”.

9. Reboot and remove the bootable CD.

Know about the company:
Prior to attending the interview, you must do some research about the company, you have applied. Peruse through their annual reports, website and company brochures. You may also study about the company on job boards and recruiting sites.

Analyze yourself:
Mentally review the skills and character traits you have that will help the company's bottom line. Think in terms of the value you can add to the position and the company you intend to join.

Know your job history:
Review your past achievements mentally and be prepared to describe your work experience in detail. Put together samples of your achievements and some reference letters to be presented to the interviewer as a proof of your past accomplishments. Gather some good words to describe your experience in terms of responsibilities and accomplishments at each job.

Anticipate the questions:
Try to anticipate the general questions that will be asked. One general question that you will surely be asked is "Tell me about yourself." Approach this from the employer's point of view. Ask yourself, "If I were hiring someone for this position, what would I want to know?" Then answer those questions. Be ready for the tough questions too. Think of the worst questions you could be asked about your experience and abilities, then prepare positive responses.

Prepare your own questions:
Employers are as much interested in your questions as they are in your answers. Intelligent questions about the position, company and the industry will have a favorable reaction. (Ex: where does this position fit into the company as a whole? Is there any problem on this job with waste/accuracy/meeting quotas, etc.? What is the largest single problem facing your staff now?)

Visualize your interview:
And get the big picture of the interview. See yourself performing
A major share of your success in the interview depends on the impression you make in the first few minutes. To succeed, you must project a professional, competent and enthusiastic image. Your aim is to convince the interviewer that you would be an asset to the company. Keep the following in mind:

Punctuality:
always try to arrive early at an interview. It is always better to arrive an hour early than arriving a few minutes late that leaves a bad impression.

Dress:
Your clothing should be appropriate for the position you're seeking. Attire must fit well within the office and be immaculate. If you don't know what the typical attire at the company is, call and ask! Shoes should be polished; pants/skirts and shirts pressed.

Here are a few tips for dressing to an interview:

* Conservative plain suit
* Dark color - blue, dark gray, brown
* White or light colored shirt, long sleeves (buttoned down)
* Plain tie - no Mickey Mouse caricatures - tied in a large centralized knot

Greetings:
When you first step into the interview room all the attention will be naturally on your face and it is the key point when the interviewer forms an impression about you. So give positive expressions.

Eye contact:
Try to establish an eye contact as early as possible .if you try to avoid eye contact the interviewer may perceive that you are hiding some thing or an element of untrustworthiness.

Face:
Raise your eyebrows slightly upon meeting to draw attention. Your facial expressions can tell many stories. Enter the room with a relaxed smile, this will give a perception of openness and a friendly attitude, and will but both the parties at ease. A tight face or a tensed smile will indicate the inability to handle stress. Frowning will be interpreted as arrogance, while pursed lips indicate secretiveness.

Handshake:
A firm handshake is appropriate and projects confidence. Make eye contact when you shake.

Tips for a perfect handshake
Assure your hands are clean and dry, free of perspiration.

Wait for the interviewer to offer his/her hand. Don't initiate the handshake, this portrays dominance, if you have already initiated don't pull back as it can be perceived as indecisiveness.

When invited for a handshake, offer your hand with your palm to the vertical. Offering your hand with your palm facing down in the handshake portrays submissiveness whereas offering your hand with your palm face coming up in the handshake portrays dominance.

Your handshake should be firm. A limp handshake portrays weakness and lack of confidence, at the same time crushing the interviewers hands portrays dominance.

The handshake last for not more than 3-5 seconds, with a maximum of 6 pumps.

Seating:
Always wait for the interviewer to offer you a seat, if not offered ask. Sitting before the interviewer offers you the seat can give very bad impression overconfidence/arrogance or nervousness.

Very handy trick here if your feeling well let's say ''compromised'':

If you are worried that some programs on your PC are secretly making connections to websites in the background, here's a quick tip that uses a simple DOS command to detect and prevent such suspicious activity:

1. Type cmd in your Windows Run box.
2. Type "netstat -b 5 > activity.txt" and press enter. After say 2 minutes, press Ctrl+C.
3. Type "activity.txt" on the command line to open the log file in notepad (or your default text editor)


The file activity.txt will have a log of all process that made a connection to the Internet in the last two minutes. It will also show which process connected to which website in this time. And not just the web browsers (like iexplore.exe or opera.exe), the log will also show your IM clients, download managers, email programs or any software that requires a net connection.

Scroll though the activity.txt file and look for any process names or website addresses that you are not aware of. If you track one , go to the task manager (or Process Explorer) to find the location of the executable on your computer and eliminate it.

whether first step to webtechnology is studying about html
why first semester we are studying computer organisation and architecture.
You may think that I am deviating from my topic but actually I'm not.
The answer is Is your program is efficient actually?
you can't say it unless you know it's architecture.you really might have done a efficient program but if you don't know the memory architecture of that system where your program is going to run, your program is notupto 100% efficient for that architecture
